For anyone operating in the call of a teacher instructing the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, you have to come to expect resistance from unbelievers and rejection from the world. The Word and the world doesn't speak the same language. But also come to the understanding that they really can't see what you are saying through ignorance or unbelief and to forgive them for they know not what they do. By bearing this in mind, it'll keep you from becoming discouraged and getting in your feelings when what you speak is not received, even from the Church. Never strive to be in God's position for glory because He's the only one deserving of it. So don't concern yourself with the spotlight. Just because someone has an entourage of yes men doesn't mean they are accurately delivering the Truth. And never let anyone discourage you from speaking what He's called you to say. If you catch backlash, you may be saying something they needed to hear, but wasn't ready to accept at that time. Either way, you did what you were instructed to do. But don't allow your words to be spoken without being coupled with compassion. We were all once in the same state before our Divine encounter. Remember that our purpose is to display God's love by showing them the Way, through giving them the Truth from the Source of Life which is God and through Jesus the Christ.
Conviction: 1. The act of process of convicting, esp. of an unlawful act. 2. a. The act or process of convincing. b. The state of being convinced. 3. A fixed or strong belief.
To the majority of the world, that is even to include the saints, conviction is viewed as nothing more than the passing or reception of condemned judgement toward others or upon self. Therefore we punish ourselves when we step out of our own view of character. We despise the feeling of conviction so much that we conjured up excuses to justify our actions. And as a result, we become numb to the feeling of conviction over time. We develop a callous over our hearts, deafening out the voice of conviction Who was given to us by Christ Himself.
John 16:7-8 King James Version (KJV)
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
The word 'reprove' in this text is translated 'convict'. It's the job of the Comforter or Holy Ghost to bring forth conviction, yet we sit in the courtroom posing as the Judge and Jury. And the closest place we've come to being in the courtroom is as a former defendant turned spectator in the crowd or a potential former defendant. But the Comforter didn't come to condemn but to convince or to enlighten us through His voice of conviction. To the saints, He's speaks words of conviction either to get us lined back up with the word of God or cause us to be grounded with strong conviction or belief by a word from God! (John 16:13-14) To the world, He uses His influence on the body of Christ as a light to manifest the darkness of sin in their lives and to reveal that apart from Christ, they are already condemned. (John 16:7-11, John 3:17-18)
As Saints, our lives are suppose to be a spoken light of conviction not only in our conversation, but also and especially in our lifestyle!! But in order for that to happen effectively, we must be convicted vessels willing to live out the call of God on our lives! We must be willing to hear and receive from the voice of conviction when we step out of the will of God. Finally, we must be attentive to the voice of conviction via a word of instruction or enlightenment!! If you are not where you need to be in Christ, make this your Year of Conviction!! The times are perilous and the hour draws near to the Return of THE KING!! Don't wait til it's too late and your conviction becomes your condemnation!!!
John 3:19 King James Version (KJV)
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
King James Version (KJV)
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
The majority of the world fail to realize how powerful words are. Unfortunately, this also is to include the Saints of God. We recklessly and carelessly speak words that ultimately will effect the rest of our lives. Satan has deceived many into believing that we can say anything we want because of freedom of speech and think that there would be no consequences. We fail to realize that by words, people can be put to death. And by words, men can be granted freedom. It's only by the confession of words, that we are saved (Romans 10:9-10) and it's by words, all things came into existence. In Genesis 1:26-27, we learn that we all were made in the image and likeness of God, thus possessing the authority to speak things that be not as though they were. It is by our confession of words, that we experience victory or suffer in condemnation. Regardless of our circumstances, our spoken words can be the very thing that keeps us bound or sets us free. We must always remember to be mindful of the things we say, whether it is spoken openly or in private.....God always hears every word we speak. And it's our confession of those words that determines how He deals with us. Take account to the words you say, for in them is the power of life and death!!! What have you been speaking lately?
Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words can actually kill you!!!
1 Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
It's interesting how Jesus says in Matt. 11:6 And blessed is he whosoever shall not be offended in me just before he says in 11:12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. Then sums up by saying, For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. John ushered in the Way to give the Church the authority and power to operate in action! Now is the time for the Church to move with the ability to be effective in it's impact on the world! But Jesus also took into consideration beforehand to say And blessed is he whosoever shall not be offended in me. He knew the challenges the Church would have to face in taking the kingdom by force.
The word offended in Matthew 11:6 according to Strong's Exhaustive Concordance means to entrap; trip up (stumble) or entice to sin, apostasy. In the process of the violent, (The Church) taking the kingdom by force, we can't allow ourselves to become tempted to quit, give up and abandon the faith and purpose God has for the Church as a whole and individually. We must be encouraged to continue fighting the good fight of faith! He died to give us life...let's do what we are called to do and take the kingdom! We can't get violent sitting down!!!
King James Version (KJV)
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
One of the strongest deceptive tactics the devil uses against the Church is getting us to believe that our words don't mean anything or have any power. As a result, we recklessly and unknowingly speak death and destruction in our lives instead of life and peace. I'm not saying that trials won't come our way, but how we react to them plays a major role in the outcome. Too many of us come into agreement with our trials through our confession of defeat in them. We complain about the existence of them instead of confronting them with the Word of God! We claim defeat through the possibility of failure instead of confessing the victory through the purpose of growth!! Then we wonder why the world is in the state it's in. We sit back and allowing the world to speak freely into the blow horns and microphones of entertainment, politics and religion without any resistance from us as if God never commissioned us to spread (speak and lead by example) His word to all nation. We keep quiet in fear of ruffling the feathers of the world or possible persecution. And so we compromise........ developing worldly terminologies and phases as if we have forgotten or fail to acknowledge that we were created in the image and the likeness of God; that we have been given authority in Christ to "call (speak) those things which be not as though they were" (Romans 4:17). It wasn't until God spoke a word; that life came into existence on earth and it won't be until we start speaking what His Word says for life to became active in our daily lives while we are still here on "this" earth!! It's time for the Church to stand in it's rightful position of authority and SPEAK UP!!! We must remember that it's not "you are what you eat", but rather "you are what you speak!!" WATCH YOUR MOUTH though, you might just eat the words spoken from you lips. "for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" (Matt. 12:34). Let's stop speaking what the world says and start speaking what the Word says!! There's so much power in the words we speak that Jesus said in Matt.12:36-37 "But I say unto you, That every IDLE word that men shall speak , they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified , and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Be careful of the words you speak, you might just talk up your death!!! His Word is our authority and His Spirit grants us the ability to operate in that authority!!! Let's use it for our advantage!!
SPEAK UP AND SPEAK OUT SAINTS!!!
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Too many of us Christians fail to understand that God actually cares for what we trouble over and struggle with. And we feel like just because He doesn't fix a problem we may have at the time we feel it should be handled, that we are better off fixing the problem ourselves. Far too many times we bring our problems to the cross but never leave them there. And if we do happen to leave them, we come back the next day to take them up. Jesus said He came to give us rest and for us to cast our cares on Him. But how can we expect God to handle our cares or problems if we don't trust Him enough to do what He says He will do. Jesus came to give us an abundant life if we only trust and believe in Him and His word. We hinder ourselves from experiencing that abundant life when we try to do things on our own. I'm far from perfect and this is something I have struggled with myself and was fighting with for a long time. People tend to think just because we confess His name that our problems magically disappears; that our flaws and shortcomings from the life we use to live doesn't still plague or attack us. This is far from the truth. Everyday it's a fight for those of us who choose to follow the commands of Christ. And truthfully, we all don't line up completely through the course of the day.......through the course of a hour at times. As long as we are living in this fleshly attire, we will go through the trials of the flesh. But that's why He's given us His word and His Spirit to rely on. I encourage all of my brothers and sisters to seek His face first! Allow Him to be God in your life. Release to Him your burdens and experience the peace that He freely gives when you sincerely trust Him wholeheartedly. Don't allow the suggestions of the devil to confuse or deceive you any longer!! Yes it's an everyday struggle, but continue in your faith in Him to keep pressing towards the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus!! Take your life back and live it for the One who came and died for you to give you a newness of life apart from the world and it's traps. How are we going to effectively share the Gospel of the Kingdom of God, when we ourselves are walking in defeat? Be encourage my people!! We are all one in Christ!! Let's make sure we properly represent the Kingdom of our God and King!!! It's our responsibility to lead by example!! What is your life saying? GOD BLESS YOU AND I LOVE YOU ALL IN THE LORD!!!
How can we as the Church, ever expect to create an impact in this world if the only thing we do is pray a petition to God to handle something WE think needs to be prayed for instead of praying about what He wants us to do as well? According to John 14:15-17;26, God gave us the same Spirit that dwelled in Jesus when He walk this earth. And according to John 14:12, Jesus said: 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
It's like we forgot that we are vessels possessing the Holy Spirit of GOD!! We are the ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven!!! We are the hands and feet, the eyes and ears of our Lord. Not just the mouths! We're talking too much and not doing anything!! Where's the impact in that without the actions to back them up? Let's stop just saying I love you and start walking in love!! Let's stop just saying I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me and start walking in His strength!! What's the use of having faith, even if it's as a grain of mustard seed, if we never operate in it? No wonder the earth is full of chaos...... we haven't been good stewards of the earth and we're reaping a bad harvest. I don't say this to shame, but more to encourage!! Acknowledge who you are in Christ and the Spirit you possess within your being!!! We have the power in Christ!! Power is not the words you speak, but the actions and effects those words cause!! Our authority comes from GOD through Christ, but our actions must line up with the Word He speaks to and through us to have the impact we are suppose to be making!! Now, more than ever is the time for the Church to stand together in the unity of our faith!!! We are to be an example in the world and an aid to one another as the body of Christ, not viewed as competition for one another. A house divided can't stand (Matt. 12:25)!!
STAND UP SAINTS!!!! THE TIME IS DRAWING NEAR, AT OUR VERY DOOR STEPS!! WE HAVE WORK TO DO!!!!
Think About That Question.....Would you truly be willing to die for Christ and be considered a Jesus Freak if you were told to deny your faith or die?
It's hard for the prodigal (wasteful) son when he returns home, because his mind is still conformed to a slavery (worldly) mentality. His father however, never viewed his son as a slave, but as an equal member of his household. The problem is most of the time, the prodigal son is so conditioned to his previous state of life (mindset), that he finds it difficult to adjust to his new environment which is designed completely opposite of the life he's use to and was taught to live. In his previous environment there is betrayal, hate, envy, confusion, hurt, pain, need, sickness and death. And in order to survive IN this environment, you have to adapt to it. Thus, conforming your way of thinking to it's fashions, trends and ways of living. But in the home, there is love, security, happiness, peace, provision, understanding, mercy and grace!! But to someone that's use to thinking and living independently, the concept of home is foolish....at first. A lot of us prodigal sons get stuck during our transition from wasteful and worldly living and start to become stagnant during the process of being renewed in our minds. The prodigal son mentioned in the Bible came back to his father's house asking to be a servant (slave) upon his return. But the father told his servants to kill the fat cow, wrap a robe around him and put a ring on his finger. "For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found." The father was proud to see his son come back to his rightful place of membership in his house. His past forgiven and he was accepted with open arms by his father. This is the same way God is with us. We need to start seeing ourselves as our Father sees us! We are called to be holy vessels, housing the Spirit of the Almighty God!! Created in His image and His likeness! Not in the image of what the world has painted of us via t.v., internet, movies and music. Look at how the enemy has gotten the world as a whole to see themselves. Now look at the condition the world is in. Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Repent and believe what His word says!! In it is the Key to Life and Truth!! Don't get caught straddling the fence. ENTER COMPLETELY INTO HIS KINGDOM WHILE IT IS STILL CALLED TODAY! TOMORROW ISN'T PROMISED!!! And for those who desire to come back home to the One who created you. Confessing Jesus the Christ as your Lord and Savior and believing in your heart that He is grants you admission into the Kingdom of God!! Then the renewal process can begin in your life! Come back home to your Father!! He's waiting for you with His arms wide ready to accept you back.
